Since 1970, the Tauck global headquarters in Southwestern Connecticut has provided hundreds of Community Grants, proudly supporting local organizations focused on youth, education, environmental, health, and housing needs in surrounding locales from Danbury to Stamford to Bridgeport and New Haven. Grants are typically in the $250 - $5,000 range.

Each year Tauck World of Giving gives 20-25 Connecticut based grants. Thousands of grants have been provided over the decades.

These grants support a broad variety of organizations serving Fairfield County and
surrounding CT communities. Recipients include educational, youth, cultural, social service, health, and recreational organizations. Community Giving grants are usually in the range of $250 - $5,000.

Community Giving requests are reviewed on a monthly basis. The initial letter serves as the application for community grants. Generally, full proposals are not requested.

Your Letter of Inquiry (LOI) should include the following (no longer than one page):

  • A description of your organization and its mission, as well as the specific program or project
    for which you are requesting funding (if applicable).
  • Please clarify whether the program/project is established and ongoing, newly or recently
    initiated, or proposed.
  • The total annual budget for the organization as well as the budget for the program/project
    (if applicable), as well as the amount of funding you anticipate requesting from the
    World of Giving.
  • The name, title, address, phone and email of the contact person to whom any questions regarding the LOI can be addressed.

We will notify you within one month upon receiving your request of our decision.

REVIEW PROCESS
The staff reviews all Letters of Inquiry received. In the course of the review, we may conduct telephone interviews, a site visit, or meetings with the prospective grantee.
