In 2009, Tauck employees volunteered at homeless shelters, soup kitchens and food pantries, youth & community centers and at the Beardsley Zoo. In addition to volunteering their time, our employees have also made generous donations of goods for the various collections held in support of local organizations. In 2009 these included: donating 1,000 pounds of non-perishable food to Gillespie Food Pantry in Westport, CT, donating notebooks, pens, pencils and new backpacks for school children who attend the George Washington Carver Center in Norwalk, CT, collecting new toothbrushes and toothpaste for clients of the Thomas Merton House in Bridgeport, CT, collecting warm winter clothing to be given to families in need through Danbury Youth Services and collecting specialty items for US troops serving abroad through Give 2 The Troops.

"Giving back" and "doing the right thing" have been core values at Tauck World Discovery from the start. By supporting youth and educational organizations, community centers, homeless shelters, food pantries and local cultural institutions, Tauck employees are giving back and doing the right thing in our own backyard. From New Haven and Bridgeport to Danbury, Norwalk and Stamford, Tauck employees are making a difference.
